UC Irvine Historic Announcement
The University of California Irvine had a big announcement to share with the world, that they would be greatly expanding their School of Medicine in ‘bold new ways.’ Under the creative direction of Xite Labs, we were asked to develop a unique projection-mapped video package as the centerpiece of that presentation.
A HEALthy CONCEPT
Through a process of reviewing hundreds of archive photos and videos from the University, we produced a visual experience telling the story of ‘future health.’ A combination of video editing and animation were used to composite several shots together in one harmonious display, paired with a clear voiceover message.
SET DESIGN
One of the most exciting aspects of projection-mapping is designing and building the physical set that receives the projected content. We coordinated with Goodnight & Company, who provided expertise in all areas from precise scale model development to full-scale fabrication, load-in, and strike.
